The Chapman Family

I am sure that most of you know the sorrow that Justin and I have been through in the last month. For those who don't you can go to this website and watch this news brief. Martha is Justin's mother.

Please cont. to pray for our whole big family we are still trying to come to grips with it all but I also want you to know that we have grown spiritually from it all. And yesterday when we were at Mom Chapman's we began to laugh again. I am so thankful for our Savior who has made it possible for us to have eternal joy after this beautiful and sorrowful life we have also been blessed with. Without Him or His gospel we could not get through this hard time.
I love all of you
Marie

Titus Updates

I will try my best to keep you all updated with our events on this blog. I have fallen behind on our own family blog...hopefully I can get that updated soon too. As for us, I graduated in May and Gordon will graduate in December with his undergraduate degree. We'll probably stay here in Ogden until we know what graduate school he has been accepted into. We are hoping to go to a school near my parents (wherever they end up moving to). Gordon will be doing a dual degree..an MBA/Law degree. The first year will be pretty strenuous and so it would be nice to have some family support with the boys.

Our little William will be joining the family in December. We are so excited! Alexander has been such a delight, hopefully the next one will be as easy going. Either way, Alexander will be a great big brother. He is use to kids. We watch another little girl his age on Thursdays and he goes to the nursery at the gym several times a week, both of which he really enjoys. He is really sweet with the girl, Taylor, sharing his toys and helping her reach for things. I am amazed.

All in all we are doing well. I was released from the Relief Society presidency and I am trying to socially keep myself somewhat active with weekly play groups and visiting sisters on my own. There has been a baby boom in the ward this past year, so there are plenty of reasons for the spontaneous "hello" drop-bys. Otherwise, I think the sisters would think I am insane. Anyways, we love you all and hope things are going well.

Love,
Gordon, Alana and Alexander

Thanks Marie!!

This is such a great idea. If you young people will keep pestering us old fogies, we might get with the 21 st century and learn how to do all this stuff.
Alan and I send our thoughts and prayers in your family's loss of Justin's father. We were so sad to hear about it and pray the Lord's comfort to all of you.
Alan is looking for a banking position since his job ended May 31st. He hits the streets and phones everyday and we feel very optimistic about his future. He has so much to offer a company. So we are getting our home repairs and improvements done in case his new employment is away from here.
Alan and Ben have been very busy with scouting this summer. Scout camp is next week and Ben is looking forward to rock climbing, horseback riding, boating, archery, rifle shooting and all that other guy stuff that is so fun!! He is patrol leader and enjoys learning to lead. He is planning on attending Boy Scout leadership training camp two weeks after this one is over. It will be a great experience for him. Alan absolutley loved his woodbadge training. He came back a 'changed man'. I never really understood scouting before and I have a new found respect for all the things scouting does to make good young men.
Keep in touch, all you loved ones out there. I will figure out how to post photos in the next decade... Love you all, Alan and Kim

Justin's father passed away and we are all taking it pretty hard, but I can honestly say I KNOW that I will see my other Dad again someday. But keep us and our Mom and our siblings in your prayers. I want everyone to know how much I love you and that I am so gald to be a member of Christ church and a member of our family. I have truely been given much.

Welcome Welcome

Welcome to the Jarvis family blog. It was so good to get to see everyone a couple weeks ago. I thought that it would be really nice for us to all keep in touch by blogging together. Dont worry if you are computer illiterate even my grandma adams blogs with us. I think that the blogs are one of the reasons that the God had computers invinted. They are such a wonderful way for families to stay connected. The hearts of the children have surely turned to the fathers and this is just another way that it is happening. Everyone please just post something at least once a month so that we can all know what is going on with one another. You may think that your life isnt to exciting to write home about but it is and we all want to know what is going on with everyone. If you know any email address of your kids please let me know .
Love you all
Marie
